Mrs. Loretta A. Wells established a charitable trust through her estate to provide scholarships for nursing students. Mrs. Wells was born in Ashwaubenon in 1893 and passed away there in 1981. She received her education from St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay and practiced nursing there for several years. NWTC students must be entering their second year of the nursing program and attending full-time. Awarding is based on academic performance, recommendations, and financial need.

Mr. Ellingson’s daughter, Patti Tuyls, established this scholarship in memory of her father who served Northeast Wisconsin Technical College for 40 years. Education was his passion and he spent the greater part of his life promoting technical education throughout the state of Wisconsin. 

Alliant Energy Foundation provides scholarship support to full-time students new to or continuing in electric power distribution or gas utility areas of study. Eligible students will have completed at least 12 credits with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to students showing financial need.

Family and friends of Ashley established this scholarship to honor Ashley's memory. Ashley was a bright, intelligent young woman who began classes at NWTC toward her nursing career when she was still a senior at Fox Valley Lutheran high school. Ashley's smile and personality were contagious and she is greatly missed. The scholarship is available to students in the associate degree nursing program who are 25 years old or younger. Awarding is based on a combination of academic merit and financial need.

Dr. Pamela Phillips, former NWTC Vice President of Student Services, established this scholarship in memory of her son. Students must meet high academic standards with at least a 3.0 GPA.

This scholarship was established to assist full time students continuing in the second year of the electronics program. Criteria for selection includes a minimum 3.0 grade point average, financial need and a demonstrated passion for a career in the electronic field.

The Beaux Mettler Foundation strives to keep his memory alive by giving to organizations that made a positive difference in his life. The Beaux Mettler Memorial Scholarships are intended to promote educational opportunities to mechanical design students to insure a successful future. The scholarship will serve as a constant reminder of a life lived well, even if it wasn't long enough.

Dan and Penny Bollom established this scholarship to support education for Brown or Winnebago County residents pursuing an associate degree or technical diploma program on the Green Bay Campus of Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. NWTC faculty member, Jerry Lintz and his wife, Marge, established this scholarship in honor of Jerry's father. This scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing business management.

The 2011-2012 Communication Skills Team established this scholarship to award students who have persisted through challenges to continue their education. Qualified students will have completed one year of the general studies transfer program and have a minimum grade point average of 2.5.

Corey J. Jonet was killed in a car accident September 11th, 2012. He was attending NWTC in the Auto Technician and Auto Technology programs. Corey had a passion for auto repair, he was a leader and went above and beyond what was expected of him. He was very patient and always had a smile.

Delta Dental of Wisconsin has established this scholarship for full-time second-year dental hygiene students. Students must be Wisconsin residents and have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.

This scholarship is given in memory of Don Woefel who was a student in the 1982 NWTC Medical Office Management program. Don battled muscular dystrophy until the age of 44. He was known by family and friends for his positive outlook and productive life. This scholarship is awarded to students entering their second year of a Health Care Business type program with a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Financial need will be a consideration.

Door County Learning in Retirement makes these scholarships available to Door County Residents who have successfully completed one semester in a NWTC program.

This scholarship was established in the memory of Dr. Roberta Sulk, a dedicated teacher and committed scientist, who served thousands of students as a part of the Chemistry team at NWTC. Roberta was committed to helping students improve their lives through education. and put her heart and soul into helping people accomplish their goals. She not only helped students master the concepts of chemistry, but also coached them toward excellence as professionals and as people. She is greatly missed, but her influence continues through the countless students and colleagues she has touched, and through this scholarship.

The Green Bay De Pere Business & Professional Women's Club received its national charter in 1925 and continued until May of 2010. The Club's fund balance was used to establish an endowment to provide financial assistance to women who may be taking first steps to improve their lives through education. These scholarships are open to full-time students over the age of 25 who have demonstrated academic success and financial need.

The Leadership Development Program instructors sponsor this scholarship to recognize a program student who is doing well academically and demonstrating leadership while balancing work, family, and classroom responsibilities. Paper Converting Machine Company along with its employees established this scholarship in memory of Jim and Laura Tyndall who were tragically lost when their vehicle was struck by a drunk driver. Both Jim and Laura were NWTC alumni. Jim was a graduate of the Automotive Technician program and Laura graduated from the Certified Nursing Assistant program. Awarding will be based on financial need and drive and ambition as evidenced in the personal statement essay. This scholarship continues to grow from the financial support of their family.

Diane Gulbrand, former NWTC Nursing faculty, established this scholarship in memory of her parents, who utilized nursing services toward the end of their lives and were very appreciative.  This is for associate degree nursing students who are returning adults over the age of 23 and who have dependents. Financial need is a consideration.

Students and staff established this scholarship in honor of Mike Albertson's retirement after 24 years of service. Eligible students will have a minimum 2.5 GPA, enrolled in corrections/law enforcement, and have one semester completed.

Lon and Carol Mishler established an endowment to fund business student scholarships every year. Lon was a NWTC Business Division instructor for 23 years working primarily with students in the credit management program. Lon helped many students develop their skills, he wrote a textbook, and he provided training to many local financial institutions. He started a part-time investment advisory business that became full-time after his retirement. Lon believes NWTC provided the foundation and encouragement to develop his career and now wants to improve opportunities for students and staff at the College. This award is made to a full-time student who demonstrates eagerness to learn and makes valuable contributions to our community. Preference will be given to those with an interest in financial planning, credit counseling or investments; although all business division students will be considered. Academic merit and financial need are also considerations.

This scholarship was established by MLT faculty to help students achieve their dream of higher education in the medical field. Eligible students will be enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Technician program, have a 3.0 GPA, and entering their final semester, with preference given to students showing high financial need.

The NEW Manufacturing Alliance created this scholarship to support returning adult students in the manufacturing programs.

This scholarship was established to honor the memory of Brandon Groh, son of Ed and Cathy Groh. Brandon passed away from Myocarditis at the age of 20. He was a 2020 graduate of the welding program.  Brandon found great joys in the trades as well as in his personal life displaying strong work ethics, loyalty to family and friends and numerous acts of kindness to others. This scholarship will continue Brandon's legacy by making a positive difference in someone's life.

This scholarship is awarded to full-time Dental Assistant students in their last semester of study who do not plan to continue their education but rather enter the workforce as a Dental Assistant. Awarding criteria is based on financial need, a minimum 2.0 grade point average, attendance and attitude toward profession. Student membership in the American Dental Assistant's Association is recommended.

The family of Richard "Dick" Liebl established this scholarship to honor his memory. Dick was a successful graduate of the NWTC carpentry program. He owned and operated Liebl Construction for 30 years prior to retirement. All who knew him were inspired by his determination to always do his best and maintain a positive attitude even in the face of adversity. This scholarship provides assistance to a student interested in making the construction industry their career. 

Family and friends established this scholarship in Robby's memory for students in certain trades programs with preference to plumbing apprenticeship. Financial need is a consideration.

This scholarship is awarded annually to a motivated and deserving student enrolled at the Marinette Campus of NWTC in a trades program. The scholarship was established by two NWTC Marinette Alumni. Both graduated with honors in 1978--Steve Van Domelen with a diploma in welding/Metallurgy, and Mary Bretl with an Accounting Diploma. They later married, and moved to Portland, Oregon. Today Steve and Mary own and operate a ship repair and metal fabrication company, Vanport Marine, Inc. They credit NWTC for providing them with the skills and knowledge needed to launch their careers. They want this scholarship to help others in the Menominee/Marinette area interested in gaining the skill and knowledge necessary to launch their own successful career.

For nearly 30 years Steve Duginski shared his love of learning as an instructor at NWTC. Before he died he created a named scholarship fund to benefit Electrical Engineering Technology program students. His wife, Elizabeth, along with family and friends fulfilled his wishes to create an endowed legacy with memorial gifts to his scholarship fund.  Qualified students will be entering their second year of the program and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Surgical Technology faculty fund this scholarship for a student in the final semester of the program who demonstrates a combination of academic success and financial need.

This scholarship was established to support adult women students returning to school to pursue their goals of higher education.  Eligible students will be enrolled in either the Design and Graphic Technology or Digital Media Technology program, and a returning adult student.

These scholarships were made possible by the Talhia Heroux Memorial Fund, Inc. which was established in 2009 in memory of Talhia Heroux. Talhia was taken from us at the age of 18 by a drunk driver. These scholarships will help students accomplish some of their hopes and dreams as Talhia would have done given the opportunity.

Former NWTC Counselor and former NWTC Board Trustee, Phyllis Habeck, has established an endowment fund to assist NWTC students reach their educational goals. This scholarship is open to a Shawano County resident who is at least 25 years of age and is accepted in an associate degree or technical diploma program. Awards are based on the overall application.

The Wisconsin Hospital Association Foundation offers scholarships to two students enrolled in a two-year degree program leading to health care careers. Students must be enrolling in their final semester. Eligible students will have a minimum 3.0 grade point average.  Please Note - The funds will cover final semester tuition, fees and books UP TO a maximum of $2,000.  Your final award amount is based on spring tuition and books and may change from initial award amount noted.

Steve Bretl, NWTC program instructor, established this scholarship in memory of his father, William Bretl, who was a graduate of the Diesel Mechanic program at Sturgeon Bay and subsequently became a Diesel Mechanic instructor. This scholarship is for a student who will be entering their second year of a diesel program at the Sturgeon Bay Campus.

The William C. Fowles Scholarship was created in his memory by his family. The scholarship is being awarded in the Machine Tool Operation program. William was a talented machinist and co-owner of Machine Service Inc. in Green Bay. This scholarship is being awarded to a deserving high school graduates from the Green Bay and Ashwaubenon high schools who demonstrates a combination of academic achievement and financial need. William would be proud knowing a young person will be given the opportunity to pursue a career in the Machine Tool Operation program.

This program provides graduating high school seniors with financial assistance to continue their education through enrollment in certain Wisconsin Technical Colleges. Recipients must plan to enroll as a full-time student in certain one-year technical diploma or two-year associate degree programs.
